back in Austin

Here is a OSI VII group picture. The next OSI conference is goanna be in Italy on the isle of Capri!!

Las Vegas

We can confirm that in gambling only the casino wins. But at least we had some good food and a nice hotel for cheap. After one night we continued driving towards Austin, via Phoenix across Arizona and New Mexico with a stop just before Las Cruces, NM.

Salt Lake

Our tight schedule allowed for a short stop at the Salt Lake, Salt Lake Cit, Utah today. After floating for a few hours we didn't quite make it to Las Vegas anymore and are spending the night in Beaver, about 200 miles from L.V.

Hike with Mike

Dr. Downer wanted to go hiking with us, so we met up in West Yellowstone early Saturday morning and hiked up Mt. Washburn.

Yellowstone

Yellowstone is pretty nice but also very crowded... I'm going to upload some pictures of our "hike with mike" later...

The Resort...

The "conference" is almost over. Tomorrow we are leaving for Yellowstone. Check out the white water rafting photos here

OSI VII

We arrived at Grand Targhee resort Sunday afternoon. After checking in for the conference we had dinner and a few beer. Monday morning I had my talk which went well. Now...since that is done, the rest of the week is goanna be all vacation...

Wyoming

Tonight we finally made it to Wyoming and are going to sleep at the Days Inn, Rock Springs only 200 miles away from our final destination, the Grand Targhee Resort, near Jackson, WY

Last night we spent in some shady motel in Colorado. The next day we briefly stopped at Rocky Mountain N.P. about 50 miles west of Denver.



The first day we drove 800 miles, from Austin via Dallas to Amarillo...


...and crossed New Mexico.


85mph is apparently too fast...

Austin, TX to Jackson Hole, WY

Tomorrow we are leaving Austin to drive to Jackson Hole, WY for the OSI VII conference...it's only 1500miles.... After the conference we will take a short trip to Yellowstone N.P. then drive back via Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, El Paso...we will be back on July 26th.

Rain...every day

Austin has become all tropical...it rains, is sunny again..humidity is constantly at a 100% and every afternoon there is a thunderstorm...and all this at 30 degree C.
